This #Cyberpunk2077 gameplay has made me realize how overly cynical I am with big games and especially with trailers/reveals. Like, a super ton cynical.

Making games doesn't help, because things in trailers go 'You can [flavor text] your [flavor] to get a super [flavor text]!!!' and basically I think: 'sweet upgrade menu bro'.

And this applies to my own stuff, it's why I find it so hard to want to continue with a project because so much has already been done. If it makes me blah seeing someone else do it, imagine how much it makes me think that if I'm the one making it.

I'm the opposite actually. Developing games made me realize how much effort and polish goes into every facet of a game (especially AAA games) so I tend to appreciate them and their trailers more

I definitely realize there's a massive amount of polish and effort that goes into those games. I guess maybe it's a dislike of a combination of things including overdone flavor text describing elements, and a lack of mystery in deep gameplay reveals. (1/2)
