I got into making games because I loved the depth and emotion in the stories. Yet, none of the games I've made have included any sense of a real, deep story. I feel like this wrong needs to be righted. Question: make a game only for story, or strongly focused on gameplay?
True, maybe the narrative is more ambiguous to player interpretation unless specifically presented in a certain way.

It's ambiguous to game designers because it's a unique experience for everyone that plays your game. I do get into RPGs were supposed to "be someone else", but with all the character ccustomization in RPGs it should be obvious that players genuinely want to express themselves.
