5% of the San Francisco population is Black. 37% of the homeless population is. They are over-indexed by 740%. Why is this the case? How is our mismanagement of the homelessness situation in SF perpetuating this inequality?

At the start of
@chesaboudin 's enlightenned term, our jails were more than 50+% black. Even more significant than our homeless problem, our racially bias policing in San Francisco has help produce this racially wealth disparity in our streets.https://twitter.com/GeorgeGascon/status/1267861719990190080 …Paul added,

Please provide source. I know it’s a high % but do not believe that high (I recall high 30’s). Furthermore, significant % of crime in SF is committed by non-SF residents. Therefore, comparing only to the SF population is murky, potentially misleading.

"The criminal justice system is racist. That’s true across the country, and it’s true in San Francisco. Even though African Americans make up at most 5% of San Francisco’s population, they make up about 50% of the people in San Francisco’s jails." How many of those in sf jails were SF residents. A lot of the dealers and thefts are coming from east bay residents
