A HUGE thank you to alumna Elisa Hamilton '07 for her ten years of service on the MassArt Board of Trustees! Hamilton is a socially engaged multimedia artist who creates inclusive artworks emphasizing shared spaces and the hopeful examination of our everyday places.

Today's student feature is on MassArt glass major Stevie Syrota'25! Stevie’s body of work is a mix of glass and Ceramics. They love using natural materials from the earth in their work and find that it helps them feel connected to the world while making an impact.

Congratulations to MassArt Industrial Design alumna Teneisha Jones '06 for being named the new public arts coordinator of Chamblee, Georgia! Teneisha Jones will join the city of Chamblee as their new public arts coordinator. She is the first to serve in this role.

Congratulations to three of our recent painting graduates- Carolyn Guerin '23, Magdalena Riendeau '23 and Hannah Rust '23- for receiving George Nick Prize Awards! The jurors selected works from each recipient, which will be exhibited in the Tower 1 Gallery through 6/9.

It was an honor to recognize artist Rob 'ProBlak' Gibbs, architect M. David Lee, and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Debra Granik during Commencement. Dr. Katherine Sloan, MassArt President Emerita, was awarded the college’s Morton R. Godine Award.

Last week, in honor of MassArt's 150th year celebration, we welcomed renowned artist, alumnus, faculty member and honorary degree recipient Steve Locke to unveil his newest installation on campus. Stop by the South Building on Huntington Ave to see it in person!
