These disposable plates are entirely made out of leavespic.twitter.com/lrOZiA2QXt

    Leaves plates
A German company is producing disposable plates entirely made out of leaves as an alternative to plastic packaging. One plate, on average, costs around 50 cents and is 100% biodegradable.

Something that India has been doing for centuries and was looked down upon by the western countries, until recently.

@leaf_republic , we, the Indians, have been using these plates for thousands of years and you, the western people, have been criticizing us. Now please don't call it as your invention and be a gentleman and not western people...

Great to see this. Eco design students have had this idea for decades and ancient civilisations have used these leaves for centuries. 2018 + investment NOW = let's execute expansion instead of self serving praise re innovation. . . social media effect!?
