Doesn’t say how effective it is. Does it generate as much energy as the blade ones per square mile?

No. One standard blade wind turbine can generate 2-4 Million Watts. MW. The largest bladeless model generates 4000 W. Only enough for a small home. So not very effective, but still not a bad idea for some applications.
-
Hmm, so it’s 1000 times less powerful? Is it 1,000 times cheaper too? How tall does this has to be? If we can make it look like a really tall chimney and work in residential areas, I can see it installed in every house, like solar. Otherwise not very effective use of space.

I’m not sure of the specs other than the power output. I don’t see much application for it. Maybe on remote windswept islands or bases in Antarctica etc. but not much else.

Wait long enough and someone will come up with a superior solution in some applications

I can only imagine how little energy it generates compared to generators with blades
