The issue is the bad guys can make money, but there has been little incentive for IT to put security as a #1 priority. It is just above testing and too often is shortchanged.https://twitter.com/mashable/status/974089547716931584 …

But big companies and nation states will have the most sophisticated AI technology and computing power so therefore would have the upper hand. But I'm sure some of this technology will leak out and 3rd party researchers will figure out some crazy stuff. Hmmm interesting to see...

It is true that it is a cat and mouse game, and theoretically attackers have the upper hand with the surprise element, will AI technology eventually sway this the other way? Giving defense the upper hand, AI will be more proactive in future threats and and almost error free

it will only play the side we want it too initially.. so, good AI and bad AI.. all based on who implements and creates rule sets. however long term AI will be pure logical see beyond petty bullshit of humans.. and most likely go to asteroid belt for resources, peace. ;)

also. .the internet is the still going to be the first true AI and is already developing imo.. ;) look at devices connected and compare to a brain and neurons... ;)
