Forget elevators, you can cycle up skyscrapers with this new design
Royal College of Art graduate, Elena Larriba, designed "Vycle", a bicycle-inspired vertical transportation system that aims to disrupt the 'elevator or stairs' dilemma by adding a third choice to it.

Imagine this at the office @HayleyHuxtable 😂 - oh I’m sorry, I was 68 minutes late to the meeting.

Can someone tell me what happened to good old fashioned stairs?

Today I am announcing the latest innovation in vertical transportation. More space efficient than stairs, less energy than an elevator, and far faster than the Vycle. I call it "lad-der".

Why would you have this instead of stairs? What about first responders or if someone has a broken foot/ankle/leg? Taking it a bit too far.

And if it isn't meant to replaced stairs then why have it at all? Out in the elements for year and it will be all rusted up and no one will use it.

Cool concept, but don’t see it happening. What if people slip and fall? .. ok even if there’s some type of shield, would kinda feel like an enclosed elevator.. would everyone else have to wait for the first person to finish? I’m overthinking this.

Imagine this on students accomodation, better chance of them using their bedsheets to parachute down than this bike on hangover day 😂
