Soon you could be cycling up and down buildingspic.twitter.com/ACsFce7L3W

Forget elevators, you can cycle up skyscrapers with this new design
Royal College of Art graduate, Elena Larriba, designed "Vycle", a bicycle-inspired vertical transportation system that aims to disrupt the 'elevator or stairs' dilemma by adding a third choice to it.

A lot more expensive and dangerous than stairs. No harness, no protection from weather. Forget vycle.

You would still need elevators for the people who are wheelchair bound or unable to use these... So no it isn't space saving, it just adds space on top of what needs to be there.

"but I'm sure that ppl wouldn't mind pedaling people up in a box that was accessible to.." NO Karen, the point is it's space saving and energy saving. And how would people get out of the building if these are the only way out? YOU STILL NEED STAIRS KAREN.

Cool if all you want to do is go up and down. Imagine the vertigo attack actually trying to get off the bike and into an opening on the 20th floor - or the other way around!
