    In a first step towards tackling overheating, The city of Los Angeles is painting black asphalt roads with a white reflecting coating. It has been proven to reduce temperatures significantly.

        Maybe I’m missing something, but unless their scrubbing them weekly won’t they just become black again from tire tracks and grime and look awful? Seems like an ok idea in theory, but I doubt it will last long. Concrete may be a better option since they have the money to blow.
