I always saw The Purge as an allegory of communism at its worst. Look at the crap going on in Venezuela, where they literally use the lack of food to control the population. Also, could compare it to abortion. Yet they somehow think "The Purge" would be a conservative idea...

Now THAT was the first purge. In fact, Stalin waged a mass campaign to purge political dissidents in the late 1930's that is literally known as the "Great Purge." Maybe instead of that hat, they should replace the movie poster with a hammer and sickle.

@markmaddenX the funny thing is, when I look at the plot of the Purge, all-powerful government that forces population control on its citizens, I think of a liberal dystopia. Liberals are the ones who want the all-powerful government and population control. -
