Probably the Best Plate ever ryt?
I swear. No need to clean up afterwards too
This is the original.
We in Nepal have been using similar plates since ages in almost every religious and cultural function.pic.twitter.com/EB33cwXh3K
“@mashable: These plates are made entirely from leaves

Seen similar use of leaves in W. Africa, tho not stitched or pressed; also steaming on leaves in China. Neat & timely adaptation of old concept! One question: When scaling up, will there be externalities (cf. neg. impacts of focus on biofuels/biomass). Monitor for sustainability?
Well, we have used this for thousands of years n still using them in India !

A good example of old traditions paving way for sustainable lifestyle: These plates not only look good, they will help to cut down dependence on non- degradable plastic, when it comes to disposable utensils. Terracotta pottery is also one such product.
Hand Made Art Out Of Bounties Of Nature ! Nature Thou Art Matchless Indeed !
I ate on something like this in Mumbai!
India is using these plates from thousands of years... 0 plastic, 0 waste, 0 pollution
This is in use in India since ancient times.
It's known as a "Patravali" :) Not typically machine-made. Stitched by hand using the same dried stems. Used even today at religious functions and places.
