    In a first step towards tackling overheating, The city of Los Angeles is painting black asphalt roads with a white reflecting coating. It has been proven to reduce temperatures significantly.

        Planting trees helps more for shade, temperature, absorbing emissions and cost less than fancy paint. Trees are the best tech for cooling!

        Why not just use concrete? It's already a light color, it's more durable, gives drivers better (10%-15%) gas mileage, & pollutes less.

        I'd like to see long term comparisons-they're constantly repairing the asphalt roads in CO, cement lasts for decades w/out need for repairs
