Wow to the nth power. We keep emailing them for samples but have yet to receive anything.

Does Calcium Carbonate "grown" in the cracks restore the same structural strength as originally, or instead hide weakness?
@BASF_Construct -
Great flippin question! I have a gut feeling it is the latter and not the former.
-
Calcium carbonate formed in cracks does not restore structural integrity, but helps in sealing small cracks, preventing ingress of fluid.
-
Thank you. How small is maximum that it can seal? Is there a visual difference, so lost structural integrity is not hidden?
-
No problem! Width can depend on many factors. Yes, there is a difference, crystals are whiteish so could stand out on different surfaces.
-
Why is it called “self healing” if the technology does restore structural integrity?

Wow!!!!! Amazing. Provided the pockets housing the bacteria aren't pockets of weakness themselves.

This is a game changer

The Romans has this centuries ago! People just forgot how to make it. Great to hear it’s been rediscovered.

I've been to a public restroom that had cracks in the walls. Wouldn't you think there's enough bacteria there to repair it?
