Mmmh. Imagine if you fired a line over the top of a minefield, to a known clear area, and pulled it back & forth to create straight lanes through an area of concern.

I guess they were hoping to have something that kids would just be motivated to roll on to a field before they play ball.
-
Seems a good idea elsewhere too-cheap & cheerful & really useful-especially if bit more capable on steering a controlled path. All well & good if the ground's flat I guess, but ground usually varies all over the place, as does wind speed/direction.
-
well they said the designer is an Afghan so I guess he knows the terrrain.
-
Well I guess so, or he's on a flat bit perhaps. Enc. Britannica describes-> Central highlands. Northern plains. South-Western plateau. With of course, deserts & mountains.
-
well kids would t go to play soccer on a mountain. In any event I can't second guess them from here.
-
Nope & me neither. Think the device is simple, cheap, good idea. Doesn't have to be made of bamboo, nor freewheel on wind, & can still be cheap. Might not be perfect but what device is?
