I wonder how long they would keep though because I usually just keep a bunch of plate for when I need them 3 years from now.
@Bennuworld, can you dig it?
Beautiful idea... how much less expensive are they than paper or foam plates?
Out in the market yet?

Here in the Philippines, sometimes we use banana leaves
$0.50 each?? That doesn’t seem like a lot on a one-off basis, but cmon, that’s like 12x as expensive...
You must be kidding here, we have these for years in India.
Indians might be laughing at this "new" idea. #pattal
Meanwhile, if it were laminated in plastic, you could wash it off and reuse it and are much cheaper. But then so is ceramic.
And here in deciduous tree land, we can make them in a pretty dead leaf brown! Or perhaps weave them into loblolly pine green! I'm on board!
Yes, yes, yes!!! But realistically, $.50 plus a mark up for profit... I'm in but the general public is gonna grab the cheaper plastic
and when you’re done eating off them you can roll them up and smoke them. Then when the munchies hit grab another one and the cycle...
