Tyson failed to mention friction varies with temperature, oil dirt & rubber on track, downforce, etc etc etc. No "magic" max speed.

Impressive thing not mentioned: no speedometers. Drivers are finding that edge of control by feel alone.

So would different type tires or tread affect that 165 mph speed?
-
Yes. Slick tires with no tread offer the most traction. Wider the tire, the more traction. Also downforce is a HUGE factor.

I'm waiting for him to tell us how much the CIA pays him to spout their BS.
-
I am curious, how is physics and his explanation of physics "CIA BS"?
-
Because his entire script comes from the CIA. Sorry you're behind the curve, everyone with a brain figured this out years ago.
-
So... physics and his explanation of physics is scripted by the CIA? Even though Newton, Kepler, Copernicus, Aristotle predate the CIA? OK.
-
People as stupid as you about the CIA are in for a big surprise one day, peabrain.
-
If you have the "truth" about physics, then please enlighten us. Otherwise you are just as "bad" as Dr. Tyson and the CIA. Thank you.
