Yes, but I meant with regards to cabling, near forest fire etc. Very rare for tarmac to go up in flames. Plastic has different properties.

Some experiments with recicled tires made into road pavement were made here in Brasil, and, wow, those roads are a delight to drive in.

give the pilot test a year? lots of complications especially with prefab (not all roads line up uniformly) but i'm not an expert.

Be better if they were solar panels. We could feed our grids and electric vehicles for longer distances. Brushes like slotcars.

It would be expensive and wasteful to recycle the dirty plastic contamined with gums from tire, glas, and other dirt.
