I don't think that's the first zero emissions ship. Just a guess... considering sailing vessels have been around for centuries beforehand

Clever, but still a pretty amazing ship, dude.
-
Oh for sure. Just thought it was a funny title. Also not sure but does nuclear constitute as zero emissions? Hmm...
-
Does radiation count as emission?
-
Not sure... no idea on radiation levels in nuclear reactors either. All I know is the US Navy has been using nuclear powered carriers
-
I'm not an expert on nuclear fission but those fuel rods don't last forever, right?
-
True. Gotta dispose of them somewhere. Emissions I thought refer to green house gasses-not sure if nuclear waste emits any

-
That much I understand. It's a semantic argument as to what constitutes emissions. More an exploratory question I had as to how we view it.

But is the hydrogen extracted from fossil fuels in the first place? It often is.

"The first zero emissions ship" Bullshit fracking -> methane + HEAT (more methane, now burned, producing carbon emissions) -> hydrogen + CO2
