@mashable@cpthoughts43 They can't copywrite a common word. That would be like me copywriting "red" -
@Red498CP They just did, somehow. -
@cpthoughts43@Red498CP Did you read the update? It's only when used in an app, like "Candy Slots". -
@TweesTweets@Red498CP I figured that's what it was. -
@cpthoughts43@Red498CP You can't copyright a word like that, the article was only for publicity. Or someone was confused. Or both. -
@TweesTweets@Red498CP You are copyrighted, mind you. -
@cpthoughts43@Red498CP Darn Warner Bros.

@mashable I'm sure that's only related to apps. Candy is to generic to trademark in other categories I.e. eye candy, etc -
@Beauty212@mashable Apparently they trademarked it in clothing along with games, software, and educational services.

“
@mashable: The word "candy" is now trademarked: http://on.mash.to/1e8KuWo ” I would like to copyright 'smart' and 'dumb'. -
@tchmathculture make an education app with either of those in the name and you would have a case apparently -
@qualiahacker let's get on it. Then we can officially call the whole idea of trademarking words dumb™
