How about the coffee shop puts out a large cup full of METAL SPOONS to stir with? With a bin for the dirties? They last forever. People are comfortable using them. They don’t use electricity or batteries or break. What a concept.

sooo it's powered by coal-generated electricity then? is the material it's manufactured from oil- or gas-based plastic? is it recyclable at end of life? so many awkward questions. i could just use an antique metal spoon that i inherited from my grandmother, will outlast us all?
