We all hate folding clothes, but is $1,000 folding robot worth it?
FoldiMate, Inc., a California-based startup, is developing a robot that will fold your laundry pile for you. Convenience comes at a cost though, as FoldiMate's target price is at $980.

Lazy? That's harsh. How about 1. Not particularly good at folding clothes 2. it's boring 3. Too OCD to be satisfied with hand-folding, so it takes forever, to fold & refold. 4. Doing laundry for a big family. If it's affordable I'd get one.

I think hand folding is more economical and it looks like faster than that robot or machine....

RUDE. This is erasure of people who love folding clothes. I LOVE folding clothes. I have a full arsenal of techniques depending on the garment & the storage vessel. People who love folding clothes deserve visibility, too. I am mad about this. Where is @MarthaStewart back me up?

Can we invent a washing machine that folds as well? This is too large and tiresome to put every single cloth in it for folding 😭

Yeah, well I don't have $1000 to spend on it and don't find it worth that even if I did. I'll just fold my clothes as I've always done, probably.

One would have to be doing household chores in order to get any use from these products so I doubt any truly lazy person dreams of these. That said, they're still cool👍
