Because killing our food to eat it is cruelty to animals?
-
Yes, killing and eating animals necessitates them being unnecessarily violently killed and their bodies dismembered. Killing an animal unnecessarily, especially in the way lobsters are killed is indeed cruelty to animals. That's why so many people are going vegan.
-
Better look at more than just lobsters then like chickens and cows because their deaths don't look to be very sensitive to the animals either.

This reminds me of a time when we were 13/14 and all on acid. Crazy Emma decided it was a good idea to start drinking out of a bong.pic.twitter.com/obb79ZToN8

Made out of a giant whiskey bottle... We ALL told her it was a bad idea. 'it's years old and never been cleaned' Emma: it tastes just like baked potatoes. She may or may not have been violently ill that night...

Boiling lobsters alive is a terrible way to cook them. The (relatively) slow death causes them to excrete copious amounts of adrenaline, which taints the flavor of the meat. A quick knife through the skull is the preferred way to kill before cooking.

They are cooked
-
Correction: They are cooked alive and scientists have found they are not only able to feel fear and pain, but since they can't go into shock, steaming or boiling them to death is likely even more cruel than if done to a mammal.
-
Ok let's try that on you
