Wow! What’s wrong with people? This guy tried to save kids. Didn’t hurt a single person or ask one person for cash and people are still bitching. Amazing.

Journalists, they hate him since most of the news outlets are owned by large oil corporations. They right false news reports and everyone eats it up and is now critizing musk after someone on twitter https://twitter.com/mabzmagz/status/1014251869760249856?s=21 … asked him to help to which he did.

So people complain that he wasted money sending a car to space, now that he’s using it for “good” it’s all for a PR stunt, guess some people are just hard to please

Having commented before & not knowing the PR motivation, it was clear the sub had no chance of safe use with this type of rescue. The caves were clearly too narrow & arduous. However, PR-wise, Mr. Musk did highlight a potential option for other rescue types. That's not so bad.
-
He was asked on Twitter by a random person from Thailand to help. He didn’t even need to answer but He said he would help if there was anything needed. Then people contacted him and he got involved. He tries to help and got crucified for it.
-
That's a sad aspect of social media. No matter the good intention or viability, there's gonna be critics. For us having dealt with caves, Musk's couldn't work here. However, even done for PR purposes, the move gets people thinking about positive solutions for other rescue types.

I don't think he should.
@ElonMusk did what many people who create and try to solve problems do.... create and try to solve problems! Not all of our ideas stick and work, but at least we're trying. You don't have to listen.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Elon is the best. Because of his rescue submarine the Thailand Navy saved the kids either way because the president made sure they were rescued by His people out of Ego but better than nothing.
-
Are you suggesting that if not for Musk, Thailand would’ve just given up on the kids?

No shit it was just like when he launched his fucking car into space now there is a big hunk of space junk floating around up there endangering satellites and anything in its path

It's not orbiting in GEO or LEO.

Too late for the situation, but not too late for the rest to come... Don't give it up, there will be other opportunities that will arrive.
-
But it's not actually viable for many reasons. The biggest one being the same thing doesn't bend and is too big.
-
Not bad though, having had only a few days to try to save lives... I just hope that he doesn't give up on trying. His rough draft does have the potential to save lives, especially once it's been developed to it's full potential.

NOT fair. You missed Elon’s communications with the Cave Rescue Lead John Volanthen where they discussed options. And this guy was trying to help for goodness sake!
