These disposable plates — made out of leaves — may be the answer to our plastic problemspic.twitter.com/pbbdxolIfp

    Leaves plates
A German company is producing disposable plates entirely made out of leaves as an alternative to plastic packaging. One plate, on average, costs around 50 cents and is 100% biodegradable.

$0.50 is actually quite expensive for disposable plates. For a pack of 20, it’ll cost $10+. For a pack of 100, it’ll cost $50+. And that’s just manufacturing costs! While a pack of 100 Chinet Paper plates cost around $10 or $0.10/plate retail.

Use a reusable plate? A metal camping plate lasts years. Much greener. 🙄

Any credit to countries where the 'ancient craft' was taken from? Also, what percentage of profits will be shared with the Indian community used to source the leaves. Also interesting to see that all sustainable jobs being created for white folk.https://youtu.be/QWQ9iAA8KdA
