Nice overview of the role the Pasteur Institute played in building the WIV BSL4 lab. Pasteur, of course, also found the closest SARS2 progenitor (BANAL-52) in 2020 in Laos not far from their previous 2017 sampling trip (sponsored by the US Navy and DoD).

The scars that have been left on us by the response to COVID are varied and deep. Underneath the awful statistics lie billions of individual human stories, which are only now beginning to surface. These stories can help us process what we experienced.

Not long from now, maybe 5 or 10 years, when covid is widely seen as a bad cold thanks to widespread population immunity, people are going to look back and wonder at the panicked overreaction. They will say, why didn't they just protect the vulnerable and get on with life?

I love it when lab leak opponents learn actual facts of the case and think I am making them up 🤯
Like that if you insert an FCS into a BANAL-52-like progenitor you get SARS2. Or that no infected animal or even a positive animal sample was found in Huanan market—only human ones.

(3) Anyone with common sense should have known that you can’t freeze an economy, even for two weeks. There would be massive economic damage, affecting lives and livelihoods, and disproportionately those with lower incomes.

OF COURSE I fully trust that the Covid vaccines have no down sides! Vaccines come from the same expert science apparatus that gave us the amazing face mask technology and the genius lockdown "let's simply freeze the economy" invention that any time now will save someone.

A further thought on these CCP balloons making their way across the country: A private company should send up its own maneuvering balloons & harass them, bump them, & shoot potato guns & flame throwers at them, & sell the resulting videos - sort of a battlebots w balloons!

Today you can create a fully synthetic clone of a CoV in a matter of weeks. You could incorporate any genomic changes you wish, and if you use type IIs enzymes, their sites would disappear upon ligation and the genome would have no signs of manipulation.
