Big news! NPS announced today that it will close Upper Beach Drive to cars 365 days a year. This decision is a win for traffic safety, the environment & the many residents who will now be able to enjoy this part of the Park year. You spoke & NPS listened!

I'm told there's been some misinformation going around about the District's ban on gas-powered leaf blowers. To be clear: the ban has been in effect since January, & hasn’t been delayed or suspended. It’s in full effect. Report violations to here: dcra.kustomer.help/contact/consum

The marked up bill expands school zones, which is an important provision from the original bill. But the mark up shrinks the area around each school where engineers will evaluate for traffic safety improvements about four times smaller — from a quarter mile down to just 350 feet.

In DC, pizza boxes *are* accepted for recycling. In fact, 94% of paper mills in the US can process pizza boxes.
All pizza needs to be removed, but grease is fine.
