    This is historic and particularly interesting right now, when there is focus on state politics and policies, not to mention relationship between states and federal gov. (fuel economy standards... health care policy...immigration fights ..Tariffs...drilling...abortion access)

    After this week's primary elections, at least 11 women will be ballots on November in gubernatorial races around the country, having secured nominations from one of the two major parties.
