Bittersweet announcement but after an amazing 2 years as an infectious disease expert I am moving on. I am now an expert in no-fly zones and Eastern European affairs. Excited to make the most of this new opportunity.

“Has he been?!” Every woman wakes up bright & early this & excitedly looks at the end of the bed to see if Father Finance has left her equal pay or the eradication of gender bias. “Oh” they sigh in unison.“It’s just another Smash The Patriarchy t-shirt”

Today's amusement - watching companies scramble to delete their fluffy IWD Tweets after re-tweets them - but with their gender pay-gap stats attached. I deeply salute whoever thought of this. It's deadly genius.

Today is literally the anniversary of the Quebec mosque shooting, a day when we should all be thinking about how to stop Islamophobia & hate. Instead, you've got Confederate flags. You've got Swastikas. You've got politicians literally supporting this on Parliament Hill. Shame!

    Happy COP26 Transport day!

Photograph of a conference with a single tiny microphone beside one man with “walking, cycling, public transport, rail, parking” above his head and then a woman with dozens of microphones with “electric cars” above her head.

"There are more delegates at COP26 associated with the fossil fuel industry than from any single country" I don't know about you, but I sure am not comfortable with having some of the world's biggest villains influencing & dictating the fate of the world.

Largely unknown thing about is that military is exempt from (already weak) climate commitments. Militarism is scar on the land & military is one of the world's largest polluters, but is excluded from mandatory greenhouse gas emission reduction standards.

What do the United Kingdom, Turkmenistan, UNICEF, UNDP + at least 9 other countries and 4 other humanitarian and development organizations have in common? They all appear to have sent all-male delegations to meet with Taliban officials in Afghanistan...

Through the summer and fall I manually converted the Truth and Reconciliation's summary report for e-readers with full accessibility markup. It was really important for me to read the report and I think everyone occupying these lands should too.
