We must be on the same wavelength because I was just about to tweet this: Members of Congress need to know what it’s like to worry about the rent. To watch a parent cry over bills. To have known war. To serve the people, one must remember what it is to be one of the people.

That’s why they should BE one of the people - and not just part of a political class or those who they choose to appoint as their puppets.

I agree. We need people who do not forget who they represent, it’s us the people. Not big campaign donators. That’s why we have to have term limits for all elected members of congress. Less time for them to be corrupted.

It ends when the FED breaks it's charter by buying corporate bonds, or stocks including ETF's. The government then has grounds to fine the FED astronomically, and seize it's assets thus avoiding default. But only possible through a people's administration, so not likely.

Watch the documentary "America: from Freedom to Facism" to learn the shocking truth behind the Fed Reserve and much more. It's on YouTube for free; very eye-opening.

Too little personal connection to the plight of those who will be affected by your decisions can lead to callous ones (albeit, it also aids objectivity to have some distance from your subject matter...).

Precisely why I’ve loathed politics & “celebrity” since childhood. People who’ve only known a life of privilege cannot possibly understand those of us who do not nor our suffering especially the origin of our suffering.
-
Seeking realistic, viable solutions from privileged politicians is insanity. What does it say about our culture creating “celebrity/fame” by giving them untold wealth, worshipping them to the point of obsession to escape our own suffering?
