He’s not a dictator. He’s elected. Some opposition candidates boycotted the 2018 election. Others didn’t — defying Trump admin’s threat of sanctions on them. (https://www.usnews.com/opinion/world-report/articles/2018-03-03/new-evidence-the-trump-administration-is-meddling-in-venezuelas-elections?context=amp …) If Trump is backing off regime change, progressives should welcome it, not malign it.

This is offensive. You're insulting not just the memory of Nazi victims but also Maduro's millions of supporters -- who come from Venezuela's poor majority and who have elected Chavez-Maduro in multiple elections dating back 20 years.
-
For a supposed dictator, Maduro is a pretty bad one: I went to a protest in Caracas where Juan Guaido -- a US puppet backed by Trump, Bolton, Abrams, Pompeo & other right-wingers you're giving progressive cover to -- led thousands of people calling Maduro a "motherfucker."

The US opposing an elected leader also does not make that leader a dictator
-
Of course it doesn’t. Nor did I say it did. It’s not the job of the US to interfere there, or anywhere for that matter. Any projection onto me that I’m saying it does is completely false. I simply made a comment about Trump’s attraction to strongmen. Wish I hadn’t but here we are

So why is it fine for Guaido to be in charge?
-
I didn’t say it was.

Leaving aside your absurd comparison of a socialist leader besieged by sadistic US economic warfare & destabilization plots to Hitler, Hitler was not elected. He was appointed chancellor through a backroom deal then received emergency powers after the Reichstag fire.

Good to know. If I put my mind to it I might be able to compose a few paragraphs that are written as well as Aaron and Max. Lockdown goals!

Can you explain what makes Maduro a dictator? The US calls him that, but he doesn’t behave as a dictator at all. The man the US openly backs to overthrow Maduro walks around Venezuela freely organizing coups. Doesn’t get much freer than that
-
Considering no one really cared about Venezuela before we decided to invade, you're not going to get a genuine answer. Just another list a talking points. If he was such a brutal dictator then we would constantly be having this conversation as opposed to just recently.
