20 yrs ago subjects like science, tech, engineering & math (STEM) became emphasized in public schools. But history, civics, government and art are just as important & their de-emphasis in schools has had devastating effects. (There’s a reason why he said “I love the uneducated”)

Sure that's true, I don't blame them either, but some kids aren't going to be predisposed to math as much as others. I think it's about giving kids the biggest breadth of experiences for them to begin to find their own passions. Not just jamming them all into STEM.

I agree. All of which should also include getting rid of high-stakes testing.
