In Canada you don't lose your right to vote, even if you're in jail. Most of the people who are in jail will get out, and will be part of our society. All members of a society should have a say in how they want to live, and we do that with our vote.

I don't even get the "normal" reason its a thing. "You know I was gonna commit a Murder, but If I did I would lose my right to vote so NO MORE MURDERS!"
