When Barr talks about those who “plotted” these protests, it suggests the protests are “bad.” Was there some looting? Yes, it’s bad & of course it should be dealt with. But that’s a tiny aspect of what has occurred here.
Define "tiny aspect" some pretty significant chunks of quite a few cities are gone, burned.
Might it be that those who have reason to protest are being manipulated by those who plot violence in their midst? Every protest needs to consider the safety of their protest being used as an excuse for radical supremacist to discredit the message and endanger innocents.
How would you like the "protest" to "consider" this? Does the protest have its own sentient brain? Many protesters were out there stopping looters and rioters, who made up a tiny fraction of the people but of course get the most airtime because of the eyeballs ($$$) they attract.
Here in St. Louis and particularly Ferguson it was like there were two separate events happening simultaneously: the protests (mostly peaceful, with a few harsh exceptions) and the looting, groups of people taking advantage of the shortage of cops to systematically steal

i do not agree that targeted, strategic, intentional destruction of corporate/govt/law enforcement property is bad as long as no humans are physically harmed. it is an effective way to WAKE PEOPLE UP THAT CONTINUE DAY AFTER DAY TO CLOSE THEIR EARS, LOOK AWAY, & TAKE ADVANTAGE.

That’s horrible, truly, but that happened because of the first action against Mr. Floyd, who by the way is still dead. Both perpetrators should go to prison.
