I’m all for disbanding police departments as they now exist but we need to remember a piece of history. When the US invaded Iraq we disbanded their army, and those former army forces created ISIS. The last thing we need is thousands of angry excops forming a militia of their own.

Correct. You’re assessment is close. Our version of isis already exists (antifa) and they are the ones pushing to defund police. You have all the pieces. Now just put it together.

#AbolishThePolice but Marianne has a point here. and unlike in Iraq as far as we know, significant portions of the current police are *already* involved in the KKK and other militant supremacist movements
