The reparations are for unpaid wages and dehumanization so yes, the US government needs to PAY. To suggest otherwise is a bit patronizing especially when your reasoning is "Black people don't know what to do with money" Scratch that, it's more than a bit. You need to rethink this
I'm not supporting his plan. I'm saying that when the conversation reaches such an establishment level, we're making progress. First there's a conversation becoming acceptable within the public sphere, not being treated like some weird thing - and then the plan can emerge.

I agree that reparations can take many forms but to rule out cash payments on the sole basis that Black people wont spend it wisely as that user did should have no place at the discussion table.
