Tonight there was a riot all right. It was one big riot that broke out in several cities. It was a police riot, however. It was a loud and violent response to the arrest of all four officers who have now been charged in the George Floyd murders. It’s a big “How fucking dare you?”

respectfully, this is very offensive to people devoted to service.
People devoted to service are probably the ones who know exactly what’s going on. They don’t like what’s happening anymore than we do.

Crisis intervention is about containment with the singular goal of safety. There isn't any "in between" of allowing people to be harmed or killed, or allowing others to harm or kill themselves. In mental health, it's a mandatory 72 hour hold.
