I agree with reparations but that’s a cartoonish number. Our entire country doesn’t have that much money. We can’t just print unlimited money either.
At this point, I don’t think it’s about the number so much. That can be worked out. It’s about getting the idea of reparations to the point where it’s a viable political possibility.

It's important that people understand that the debt is multigenerational and in the trillions of dollars. It doesn't serve us to low ball the number and make Americans think reparations will be comfortable and inexpensive.
