You can’t put stipulations on reparations

Marianne, no. Let them spend their money however they want if you’re gonna give it to them. What are you gonna do if they don’t spend it how you like? Throw them in jail? Fine then? Come on now
If the reparations council decides to just give individuals the money, then that would be their decision. That would be very hard to do however.

It’s not that hard at all - we just had a round of $1,200 no-strings attaches cash. It would be much easier than monitoring millions of transactions and people.

If there was a reparations council, they could do it that way if they wanted to.
