1/ Far right wingers took assault rifles into the MI state capitol and the police did nothing; legislature even caved and cancelled their session. Trump actually said the governor “should make a deal with them.”
2/ Protests over the George Floyd murder have led to unprovoked rounds of tear gas and rubber bullets sent into crowds of peaceful protesters. The role of the police is to protect the Constitutional rights of peaceful protesters - not attack or intimidate them. Everyone be safe.
They didn't break or burn things. Just holding a legally owned firearm isn't a crime. Looting, beating people, and burning property IS a crime.
