We’re being thrust kicking & screaming into the 21st-C, forced to give up attitudes left over from centuries past which are literally unsurvivable in this one. For an entire civilization it’s both a death process and a birth process. The death of an old me, the birth of a new we.

It was always "We". Colonialism attempted to erase this understanding but Indigenous people have been resisting since colonial contact and in so many ways we've been keeping the home fires burning for the birth of the warriors of the rainbow.
