The biggest violence is not what’s happening today, but rather the chronic violence of political, economic and criminal injustices that has accumulated over the last 40 years. That violence was tolerated by the same establishment that today is telling everyone not to be violent.

More precisely Marianne it is the chronic violence of political, economic & criminal injustices accumulated over the past 200+ yrs. since Black people were kidnapped out of Africa & enslaved in America!

It’s a mistake to leave it out of our analysis all the successes that have been achieved as well. It does dishonor to our ancestors, who in many cases did a whole lot more than we have done to push back against racial injustice. American history is a story w/ many twists & turns.
