Really appreciated LZ Granderson pointing out that we always say “violence is not the answer” to protesters, but we rarely say it to the State Department or the military-industrial-complex. Bingo.

It really is. When cops decide to kick, punch, club, gas, or run over peaceful protestors - they become criminals with badges. They ought to have known that violence was not the answer. And the cops who chose peaceful interactions with protestors maintained peaceful cities.
