Majority of policepeople are good & decent public servants. Ones I know are as politically aware of what’s going on in this country as is anyone else. Let’s include them in our prayers today. The situation is very complicated, very dangerous. Let’s pray that love & peace prevail.

But it’s true. None of this is simple. I do believe the police have been infiltrated by white supremacists and I have not been afraid to say it. But that absolutely does not mean that every policeman is a white supremacist and I think it’s important to remember that too.

But just about every one has been enabling them. As the saying goes, if you’re silent at injustice, you are with the oppressor.

You don’t know that. You don’t know the numbers. You’re just assuming that. It’s no different than defining any other group by their shadow element.

Good point; I'm sure there's a lot of good priests too, who willfully fail to report the rampant sexual exploitation of children by others in their midst.

yeah but they're doing the work of white supremacy regardless and a lot of those good apples you speak are unwilling to recognize that

As a non-American, I'd say that the problem of racism in America, especially in law enforcement, is so systemic that no apple is spared from rot for as long as they remain inside without rebelling.

I have four cops in my extended family and frankly I never liked any of them. Just something arrogant and authoritarian about their personality.

Policing in U.S. rooted in slave patrolling, therefore it is a representation of the U.S. since the country has economic power rooted in stolen labor. Truth is terrible at times. Not all police bad just like not all U.S. systems bad. Transformation all levels needed 4 better.
