You nailed it. I think it’s absolutely the failure of our educational system, a limit on our capacity for critical thought. 11 states don’t even require half a year of American civics, history or government.

It sounds like you haven't really looked into it; it seems to be an honest source of information thrown out from behind the curtain. But, if you mean that information shouldn't have to come out in such a fashion due to our dystopia, then I agree with you.
