Some areas of common ground between parts of R & L would be localism/conservationism, workers/families prioritized over megacorps, & less foreign meddling/wars of empire.
I would definitely take that as a starting point. The division between true liberals and conservatives (which at its best is a yin and yang) is not the problem so much as money and power struggles between political parties.
