As a Washingtonian I agree. Can't image having to go to the polls anymore. Real freedom to be able to vote from home.

Hard enough to control the digital voting machines (see Hacking Democracy), votes in the mail get lost or tossed in high quantities, especially in a low trust society like ours. It's a big reason why people don't vote, no trust, and that breeds cynicism and apathy.
