I’m not sure I understand how that makes sense. If people don’t feel they’re getting the whole truth, they sense it and instead they believe something ridiculously false? Where’d their instinct go in that leap?
That’s where propaganda comes in - mixing up the dots. Creating false narratives that appear to explain what had previously seemed unexplainable.

Some people are just drawn to the loudest voice which stands as their higher power. It’s that simple and based on ignorance. The false narratives and conspiracy theories provide evidence, and build a stronger case for their following.

You could saturate these folks with the most genuine of spiritual conversations, and they will still choose to fall in line with the cult leader/bully.
