3/ People have an instinctive way of knowing when somebody’s not telling the real truth. If you don’t provide the space for radically genuine truth-telling, people become vulnerable to conspiratorial lies.

I’m not sure I understand how that makes sense. If people don’t feel they’re getting the whole truth, they sense it and instead they believe something ridiculously false? Where’d their instinct go in that leap?

That’s where propaganda comes in - mixing up the dots. Creating false narratives that appear to explain what had previously seemed unexplainable.

She’s correct. Humans are innate to living forever, while trying to understand why life exist. Stories like searching for the fountain of youth, paradise, and heaven exist because of this. It’s hard for people to understand that our world was a big accident.
