1/ It’s not just pandemics that we were risking. Same with nuclear & environmental issues as well. When I was young we marched to “Ban in the bomb.”Today we’ve all just accepted a horrifying reality & do little more than cross our fingers hoping something terrible doesn’t happen.

2/ Environmentally, if we don’t do something radical within seven years we could have massive social collapse beyond anything we’ve ever seen. Whole swaths of continents too hot to grow food. Economic collapse. Food system collapse. Hundreds of millions of environmental refugees.

3/ The planet itself has become a ticking time bomb, and when this pandemic eases each and every one of us needs to become passionately involved in creating a different world. The opportunities will be there, we just need to become people ready & prepared to rise to the occasion.

Gen IV Nuclear is so safe and powerful, we can provide abundant water, waste treatment, waste recycling and clean industry to the planet for zero net carbon foot print. The increase in agriculture alone would peacefully green the wasteland. Gen IV can eat nuke weapons. Forward.

If we commit to renewables before the abundant power of Gen IV Nuclear, we will squander our energy bridge to the future while condemning humanity to scarcity and war over resources. Abundant energy can solve our resource problems with a smaller footprint. For people, forward.

Please rethink your position on nuclear energy. It may be our cleanest, safest option.

Boy, this sounds exactly like what Paul Ehrlich was writing - over a Half Century ago. “The battle to feed all of humanity is over.” And humanity had lost.https://www.smithsonianmag.com/innovation/book-incited-worldwide-fear-overpopulation-180967499/ …
